fun and funky vintage car

Someone is working on a vintage car.  I have no idea of the make.  But I bet Louis La Vache will tell us.  The car seems fantastic, fun, and now a little funky.  Hope they have all the parts.  Linked to ABC Wednesday.

  2. It's been a long time since I've seen white walled tires. Thanks for the memories.

  3. It would be very funny if the orange pole was a parking meter but it will be a smashing car when finished.

  4. I have no idea, though my father-in-law, who has a 1939 Ford, could probably tell you!

  5. Looks like it's been there quite awhile. The body is actually in really good shape.

  6. Carolyn, «Louis» can't see enough of the car to tell you for certain, but he thinks it is a 1936 Buick. He can tell you by the location of the data plate and by the fact that the body number is not stamped onto the upper left of the firewall, it ISN'T a Packard. If it were a Packard, the data plate would be below the body number stamping.

  7. The other, more obvious clue that this isn't a Packard, is that Packard never used the treatment of the window at the "C" pillar on the roof that this car has - but GM did on its mid-price (Buick, Oldsmobile) cars in the mid-'30s.

If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.
